Arctic Journey

The Arctic exhibit offers rich educational content, but limited interaction can make it difficult for visitors, especially youth, to stay engaged and curious throughout the experience.

This project explored how an AR game could add an interactive layer to the Telus World of Science’s Arctic exhibit, enhancing engagement without competing with or distracting from the physical displays. The experience uses character-driven perspectives, such as a Wildlife Photographer and Expert Guide, to encourage exploration and discovery.

My role focused on research and experience design, using interviews, observations, prototype testing, and demo walkthroughs to inform interaction design. Design decisions balanced immersion with educational integrity, ensuring accurate and respectful representation of Inuit culture through research and expert consultation, resulting in an engaging, museum-appropriate learning experience.
