Low youth attendance at Edmonton leisure centres highlighted the need for accessible, engaging fitness programs that support young adults beyond the physical space.
Developed in collaboration with the Edmonton Recreation Branch, this project focused on Hardisty and Londonderry Leisure Centres, exploring how design could extend engagement through clear communication, inclusive content, and community-centered touchpoints.
Momentum translates fitness education into a cohesive experience system, including class materials, visual guides, and a take-home e-newsletter. Design decisions emphasized accessibility, cultural inclusivity, and continuity, using structured workout education, nutrition visuals, and community highlights to help participants stay informed, motivated, and connected beyond each session.
